Environmental Rehabilitation

Sibbs Environmental Solution is committed to ensuring that the mines comply with their rehabilitation
commitments and meet social expectations. The key aspect of rehabilitation is to re-establish the affected biodiversity and maintain the existing biodiversity. The following can be done individually or as part of
independent rehabilitation assessments/audits:

TOPSOIL MANAGEMENT

Assists the mines to
complete soil analysis on
rehabilitated areas (before
and after topsoil placement)
and the outcome of the
analysis is considered for
action where necessary to
ensure an effective and
successful rehabilitation.

VEGETATION MANAGEMENT

Assist the mines with the
vegetation establishment (i.e.
grass planting) for the newly
topsoil areas and can also
assist the operation to
achieve its desired basal
cover through implementing
actions for the existing
rehabilitated areas.

BIODIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

We assist the mines through
controlling alien and invasive
plans eradication methods,
relocations of plants and
animals, fire break
establishment and
management, biodiversity
assessments, and action
plans.

Waste Management

Sibbs Environmental Solution is a registered waste management company and provides the following
services to ensure compliance with waste management regulations:

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Assist operation with waste classification in terms of the waste classification regulation to ensure adequate separation.
Assist operating in terms of waste reduction and recycling initiatives as per the waste classification.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Provide adequate waste storage facilities for the different waste streams.
Collect and transport different waste streams to different end users and disposal sites.
